Dominique is a 2016 graduate from Wayne State University's School of Social Work program. Having concentrated in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Strength Based treatments, and Trauma Informed Care, she strives to bring healing and restoration to people who have experienced such life altering situations. Her philosophy on care includes the following:
"Throughout the course of our lives we will all experience life events that may cause stress, trauma or even grief. As a result of these events, it’s natural for them to weigh heavily on your mental and emotional well being. It is also very common to feel as if your life is unraveling and that you have no way of piecing things back together."
Her professional experiences include working with clients experiencing transitions through both pregnancy and postpartum, those who have experienced pregnancy loss, those who are experiencing chronic/terminal illness, and those who are part of the LGBTQ community, including non-binary, gender non-conforming and transgender individuals. She has experience working with multidisciplinary teams in both clinic and private practice settings.
She provides her clients (children and adults) with a safe space to heal and promote growth and abundance. It is her goal to help her clients through the healing process so that they never feel alone.
Areas of Focus: Anxiety, Depression, Domestic Violence, LGBTQ, Parenting, Pregnancy/Prenatal/Postpartum, Trauma/PTSD
